Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As a Space and Defense Correspondent she covers all aspects of space starting from NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin's parents were each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also employed as an White House reporter for FOX News that covers the both the Biden and Trump administrations on space issues. During that time, she also reported on two presidential impeachment trials as well as the 2020 presidential campaign and two attempts by the administration to stop the coronavirus pandemic. Kristin travelled extensively, including both the president and vice president. The reporter even took a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter, before joining CBS in 2015. Kristin, who is adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary style films, with clients like Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
